Professor Leon Sterling is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Digital Frontiers) at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. This is a new position, intended to provide leadership for Information Technology across the university in research teaching, and IT innovation. From January, 2010 until December, 2013 he was the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies at Swinburne. From July 1995 until the end of 2009, he was a professor at the University of Melbourne's department of Computer Science and Software Engineering.
